I’ve been a bride on a budget before. I know what it is like to struggle in finding the right fit, but also someone affordable. I’m open to curating and customizing services based on your needs and what you can afford. I believe in flexibility because everyone is different. Further to that, I believe in being more than just your photographer and/or calligrapher. I want to help you as you plan your event or wedding, or even if you’re just starting out and need to brand yourself. I believe in community and relationships and want to harness those things through our work together.

While I am a part-time photographer, I try to be as collaborative with each client, as much as possible. I do have some amazing locations I can recommend, but I will first, and foremost ask for your input. These sessions are for you, and so I like to take time prior, to brainstorm together. For larger investments, I’m happy to offer location scouting. Part of my routine on the day of, is to arrive 30 mins to an hour earlier, so I can map out our session.

I am from Greater Vancouver, BC, and willing to travel locally. My travel fees are simple - if airfare, accommodations, a car rental or parking fee is required, you are responsible for a direct reimbursement of the charges.

Let’s face it, you’ve hired a complete stranger, so it’s natural to feel awkward coming into your session. Also, not everyone is used to being photographed. But no matter what, my end goal is to make you feel relaxed, through my easy and casual shooting style and natural posing. I always play off emotion because how you feel, will translate in your photos. I try to get to know you a little better during the session, and more than anything, I just want us all to have fun and enjoy the process.

If you live in B.C. like I do, we both know that the weather is extremely unpredictable. Rest assured, the best photos don’t just happen on a perfect, sunny day. In fact, overcast and lightly, rainy days offer creative and beautiful moods for photos. Unless the weather is extreme and could be potentially damaging to my gear, I can typically work around whatever weather situations arise. Otherwise, if we absolutely must, I’m happy to reschedule to another time, best suited for us both.

A deposit or retainer fee is required to secure your booking. It is non-refundable and will go towards the final cost of your investment. From here, we can build a payment plan. Otherwise, the remainder is due the day before the session.

Retainers help secure your booking and cover costs for materials, equipment, and software needed for your event. I invest in high-quality tools to ensure the best service for you, which can be quite an expense. Additionally, retainers account for the potential loss of other bookings in the event of a cancellation.

My packages are thoughtfully priced to reflect their value. I understand that everyone has different financial situations, and I want to help if I can. If you’re looking for a price range outside my offerings, please reach out! I’d be happy to discuss customizing a package or setting up a payment plan that works for you. And if you’re a returning client, I’m pleased to offer a loyalty discount!

Most photo sessions, I aim to turnaround within 2-3 weeks. I know waiting can be tough, so I do like to send some sneak peeks within a week of the session.

I do retouch photos minimally, such as smoothing faces or removing minor blemishes. Additional edits are per discretion. Any photoshop work required, such as removing people or difficult objects are not typically done, but is available upon request for additional fees.

Your investment goes toward the time spent in carefully editing and fine-tuning your images. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited, RAW images.

Yes, once delivered, you have the rights to do whatever you like, from printing to sharing. However, I do ask that you credit my work, especially if any other businesses use my work for public or marketing purposes. This also helps me a lot, being a small business owner. Most of my clients come from word-of-mouth, so I appreciate it when you show me support by tagging me and crediting my photos.

At the end of the day, I’m not here to sell my services to everyone, and you should never settle for anyone less than someone you are truly passionate about and believe in. If you decide you would like to move forward, I will send over an agreement for review, and a retainer will be required to hold the date. Once the agreement and retainer has been completed, the fun begins!
